That’s why we’re proud to once again support local legends Dylan and Ash, better known as Team Punka Nuts, as they take on the incredible challenge of the Shitbox Rally Winter 2026.
After successfully completing the 2023 Winter Rally from Rockhampton to Hobart, the duo are back behind the wheel and ready for another adventure — this time tackling the journey from Mildura to Townsville in their trusty shitbox.
But this isn’t about speed, trophies or finishing first.
Shitbox Rally is one of Australia’s most remarkable fundraising events, bringing together more than 500 teams to drive vehicles worth less than $1,500 across some of the country’s most remote and rugged roads. The goal? To raise vital funds for cancer research through the Cancer Council.
Since its inception in 2009, Shitbox Rally has raised more than $55 million for Cancer Council, making it the largest community-led fundraiser supporting cancer research in Australia.
For Dylan and Ash, this journey is about much more than the kilometres travelled. Like so many Australians, they have seen firsthand the impact cancer can have on families, friends and communities. Their mission is to help fund research that improves outcomes and provides hope for those affected by cancer.
Before they can even hit the road, Team Punka Nuts must raise a minimum of $5,000, with every dollar contributing directly to Cancer Council’s vital research programs.
As a business deeply connected to the Bright and Alpine Valleys community, we’re proud to contribute to initiatives that make a real difference. Supporting local people who generously give their time, energy and resources to causes bigger than themselves is something we strongly believe in.
We were honoured to support Team Punka Nuts during their 2023 rally journey, and we’re excited to be backing them again in 2026 as they embark on another unforgettable adventure.
