The Horn, which is the highest point on Mount Buffalo, is a stunning rock formation that offers expansive views across the national park and further afield to the Australian Alps.
Accessible via a partly unsealed road during the warmer months, you’ll get stunning views from the car park. Or take the short but partially steep hike up to the Summit, set atop a collection of granite boulders, for even better views!
It’s the perfect location for watch a sunrise or sunset – bring along a picnic as part of a day trip from Bright.
In winter, while the road is closed, you can still access The Horn via a groomed cross-country ski trail that starts at Cresta Valley – snow dependent of course. Or snowshoe your way to the top!
