This short walk, which starts at the Gorge Day Visitor Area near Mount Buffalo Chalet, offers magnificent views across the Ovens and Buckland Valleys.
Approximately 2.5kmย in length, this easy walk features interpretative signs focusing on the area’s floraย and European-based history.
You’ll descend downย granite-stone stairs until you reach the Buffaloย Gorge, which leads you past Crystal Brook Falls, which has a spectacular 300 metre plunge to the valley floor below.
You also get an incredible views of the immense granite Gorge cliff face – some of the highest vertical cliffs in Australia, and popular with mountain climbers and abseilers.
There is ample parking at the Gorge carport which marks the start of the walk, along with toilets and picnic tables so why not pack a picnic to enjoy after all your hard work.
