There’s no better way to unlock the beauty of the High Country than getting out there on your own two feet.
No matter where inย the High Country you choose to base yourself, you’ll find walks to suit everyones walking ability and pace.
Not only is it great for the soul to get out in the bush, but it also allows you to walk up a healthy appetite so you’ll be ready to enjoy some of the incredible local food, wine and beer on offer throughout the North East region.
Starting in Harrietville, the Bungalow Spur Track is aย 22km return hike which takes you above the tree line to the stunning Mount Feathertop.
The trackย is a (relatively) gradual incline, you’ll pass Federation Hut along the way which has a toilet and emergency shelter and once at the top you’ll be rewarded with uninterrupted views of the surrounding High Country region!
