This competition is run by Alpine Valley Getaways in collaboration with Hoys Skis PTY LTD.
Competition Period
Entries open upon publication and close at 11:59pm AEST on Sunday 7 June 2026.
Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.
Employees, immediate family members and associated agencies connected with Alpine Valley Getaways or Hoys Skis PTY LTD may not enter.
How to Enter
To enter the competition, entrants must complete the official competition entry form via the designated landing page.
Only entries submitted through the landing page will be considered valid entries.
Social media actions including:
- Following accounts – you must follow both accounts on either Instagram or Facebook
- Liking posts – this includes original competition posts
- Tagging friends – you can tag as many as you like, if your friends follow this process, you have more chances to win as a group!
- Sharing posts or stories – share the competition post to your stories on either Instagram or Facebook
are considered bonus engagement activities only and do not constitute a valid entry on their own.
One entry per person applies unless otherwise stated.
Prize Details
The prize includes:
- A 2-night accommodation for 4 guests staying at The House at Smoko with Alpine Valley Getaways
- Sports ski or snowboard hire packages x 4 from Hoys Skis PTY LTD
- A firewood package to use at the property
- A local produce hamper on arrival
- A winter itinerary PDF guide
- Additional inclusions as outlined in promotional material
Prize inclusions are subject to availability and may vary depending on booking dates and selected property.
Travel, meals, lift passes, transport, and any incidental expenses are not included unless specifically stated.
Prize Redemption
The prize must be redeemed during the 2026 winter season.
Booking dates are subject to availability and blackout periods may apply, including public holidays, school holidays and peak periods.
Accommodation property selection will be determined by Alpine Valley Getaways based on availability and suitability.
The winner must book and redeem the prize within the specified redemption period. Extensions are not guaranteed.
Snow Season Disclaimer
This competition is designed around the Victorian alpine winter season.
In the event of insufficient snowfall, seasonal closures, or significantly impacted snow conditions during the 2026 winter season, Alpine Valley Getaways and Hoys Skis PTY LTD reserve the right, at their discretion, to:
- modify the prize experience,
- offer alternative dates, or
- carry the accommodation and/or ski hire credit forward to the 2027 winter season.
Any carry-forward arrangements will remain subject to participating property availability and operational availability of Hoys Skis PTY LTD.
No guarantees are made regarding snow conditions during the prize redemption period.
Winner Selection
The winner will be drawn at random within 7 days of the competition closing date.
The winner will be contacted via email and/or phone using the details supplied on the entry form.
If the winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours of the prize being drawn, Alpine Valley Getaways and Hoys Skis PTY LTD reserve the right to redraw the prize.
Prize Conditions
The prize:
- is not transferable,
- cannot be exchanged for cash,
- cannot be resold, and
- cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
Any unused portion of the prize will be forfeited.
Marketing Consent
By entering the competition, entrants agree to receive marketing communications from Alpine Valley Getaways and Hoys Skis PTY LTD.
Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link provided in emails.
Liability
Alpine Valley Getaways and Hoys Skis PTY LTD accept no responsibility for:
- lost, late or misdirected entries,
- technical disruptions,
- cancellations due to weather, road closures or alpine conditions,
- injury, loss or damage incurred during prize redemption. We recommend you take out your own travel insurance.
Both businesses reserve the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition if circumstances outside their reasonable control affect the operation of the promotion.
Privacy
Personal information collected as part of this competition will be handled in accordance with the respective privacy policies of Alpine Valley Getaways and Hoys Skis PTY LTD and will only be used for the purposes of administering the competition and related marketing communications.
